Through a near-fatal illness, PTSD and dangerous mental strain in my early twenties, I was fortunate enough to meet a doctor who prescribed sound-based, science-backed methods for healing my brain and body.

Long before this, as a Polynesian child, I'd been taught to sing before I even spoke. Recalling the power of sound, voice and song from my formative years, I was able to grow through the hardest challenge I'd ever faced and find my balance again.

Song brought me back to my story. Back to the knowing that I was still here for a reason.

The music I create now carries all of that. A soulful fusion of lush melodies, vintage groove and indigenous flavor, my performances blend concert with ceremony. Spaces where we remember, together, that we are not alone in this. That our stories are connected. That the most rebellious thing we can do in a world that profits from our disconnection is feel something real and let it move us freely.
