Early dreams of being an actress brought Marushka to NYU Tisch, but surprisingly disillusioned and disinterested during her freshman year, she decided to leave ~ both university and the acting world. It wasn't until years later, after moving to Kenya and collaborating on several film focused projects, that Tihane finally discovered her own love of filmmaking; first, through story development, writing, video editing and finally, through directing.
